Therefore, it is not surprising that the country has one of the most dangerous armies in existence. In 2019, $718.69 billion was spent on the military alone. A good part of this money is used to maintain a variety of military vehicles and to research the next generation of military vehicles for the future. 

These military vehicles are classified by their role which can include anything as critical as military transport and routine reconnaissance and deployment of highly critical weapons or command and control duties. .

M1 Abrams Tank

This powerful warrior is one of the most feared battleships in the theater of war today. Abrams first entered the US Army in the 1980s. However, it was not until the 1991 Gulf War that it was deployed, killing many people and missing none of the enemy fire.

 

The latest models have been upgraded to be able to use the improved Trophy Performance Protection System. The tank's equipment includes a 120mm main gun and a large 50mm caliber machine gun that can deal damage to anyone on the receiving end. 

M1126 Stryker Combat Vehicle

The Stryker Fighting Vehicle is an eight-wheeled armored vehicle that serves as a mobile combat platform for battlefield support operations. The vehicle is available in several configurations including armored vehicle, commander vehicle, and engineer squad vehicle. 

This makes it different and can perform a variety of combat tasks from command and control, research and direct fire to the enemy. The Stryker can travel at speeds up to 60 mph and cover a whopping 300 miles on a single tank of gas.

M60A1 Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge

Now, here is a warship that is known for more than just its combat power. Instead of a cannon, it was mounted with a special 60-by-13-foot-long, retractable platform that allowed other military vehicles to pass through obstacles like a small streams or trenches. 

This tank shares a platform with the M60 Patton main battle tank and the deck is designed to support the weight of the heaviest tank in the US Army's arsenal. It is a strategic plan that greatly improves the operational capabilities of the US Army.

Bradley Fighting Vehicle

The Bradley is a research vehicle model named after General Omar Bradley, a respected military strategist who oversaw US military policy during the Korean War. It was designed to support the power of the M1 Abrams tank and has served this role for almost forty years now. 

There are two main variants - the M2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle and the M3 Calvary Fighting Vehicle. The tank can be quickly deployed to the front line for engagement with the enemy. Its armament includes a 25mm Bushmaster cannon and an anti-tank missile launcher. 

M1150 Assault Breacher

As the name suggests, the Assault Vehicle is designed to drive through minefields, clearing the way for other vehicles. The massive vehicle was built on the M1 Abrams platform and, as expected, it was used extensively to counter explosions from high-powered missiles and other types of explosive ordinance on the battlefield. 

In order to perform this task effectively, the M1150 is equipped with a full range of ammunition, road marking systems and anti-attack systems. It can be controlled internally, reducing the risk of workers.
